Ingredients

  • 1 bottle rosé wine chilled
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice preferably freshly squeezed
  • 1 cup sparkling water chilled
  • 2 tablespoons sugar syrup adjust to taste
  • 1 zest lemon or lime for added citrus flavor, optional

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Pour the chilled rosé into your blender. Add the fresh orange juice and the sugar syrup for a touch of sweetness.
  2. Secure the lid and blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and has a slushy, icy texture, about 30-40 seconds.
  3. Pour in the chilled sparkling water and add a sprinkle of citrus zest for brightness.
  4. Give the mixture one quick pulse to incorporate the sparkling water gently; avoid over-blending to keep the bubbles.
  5. Taste the slushie and adjust sweetness if needed by adding a little more sugar syrup, then blend briefly again.
  6. Pour the icy mixture into glasses and serve immediately with a straw or small spoon.

Notes

For an extra fancy touch, garnish with a slice of citrus or a sprig of fresh herbs.
